DOG DAYS of SUMMER...Peregian Beach

Last weekend we ran our annual Dog Days Of Summer. This year we collaborated with PETICULAR pet boutique based in Peregian Beach. The plan was to keep it simple, donate some of the proceeds to the R.S.P.C.A. Noosa and set up a make shift photography studio outside of the store where Wavell Bush Photography would take pet portraits.

When i spoke with the guys at PETICULAR about hosting and putting on this event, i was a little slow with my photography work and other projects i was busy with had come to an end. So the timing to pull of this event seemed perfect. We wanted to do it before Easter and just as the schools were on holidays.

Well that gave me just over two weeks to get all my marketing material sorted out and start promoting and signing up clients. Fortunately i have an amazing graphic artist who jumps through hoops for me and really got things done, thanks Nicole you are a star. If it wasn't for you, no of this would be possible.

We hit the streets running, i posted fliers at all the dog beaches, on all the grocery store notice boards, handed out fliers to everyone and anyone who i bumped into with a dog, dropped fliers in my neighbors letter boxes, and promoted it on the different social media platforms.

The two days were just amazing, we had clients booked in every half an hour and the days were busy. We had so much fun creating lovely images of all sorts of different dogs, kids came along and got into the pictures with their beloved pets, its was just a great time all round. The rain tried to spoil the day on Saturday but we managed to soldier on and work around those conditions.

When all was said and done, the R.S.P.C.A were very appreciative of the donation they received from the participants who took part in the event. Thanks to everyone who took part in this event, or help make it possible.
