LEAVING DENVER, COLORADO

After living in Denver for 16 years, I decided six months ago that I was over living in the USA. Leaving was not an easy decision for me to make due to the fact I was entrenched in the lifestyle, had a great job working with awesome people, had tons of friends I would have to say goodbye to. Plus I had Bella in my life now - and she was going to cost a small fortune to take with me. But no matter how much she was going to cost me, I would never abandon her. She is my companion for life and I wanted her on this new life journey we were about to embark on.

Fast forward six months and I had liquidated 90% of my belongings, shipped a small crate to Brisbane and am loading the rental car with my backpack and Bella. Heading to California to spend my last weekend with some of my closest friends, then boarding a plane at LAX to fly to Melbourne.

The drive from Denver was not very eventful, it was evident Bella had her six senses on overdrive. She knew something was happening. We drove for 12 hours with plenty of stops for both of us to stretch and relieve ourselves, the only thing is she would not go. We stopped at the Virgin River Casino in Mesquite for the night and then hit the road for the final stretch the following morning.
